주의 탄생하신 그 아침 stanza 9 but peaceful was the night

but peaceful was the night

 

하지만 그 밤은 평화로웠습니다.

wherein the prince of light

 

빛의 왕자가 오신 밤

            His reign of peace upon the earth began:

 

그의 지상에서의 통치가 시작된 바로 그 밤 말입니다.

the winds with wonder whist

 

바람은 경이로움으로 불고

smoothly the waters kissed,

 

매끄러운 손길로 물들을 키스하고

              whispering new joys to the mild ocean,

 

온순한 바다에게 새로운 기쁨들을 속삭이죠.

who now hath quite forgot to rave,

 

그 바다는 이제 잠시 휘몰아치는 것도 잊은 듯 합니다.

while birds of calm sit brooding on the charmed wave.

 

그리고 그 잔잔한 물결위에 평온한 새들이 앉아 떠다닙니다.
