The Hymn

찬양가

 

 

It was the winter wild,

 

거친 겨울이었소

While the heaven-born-child

 

천상으로서 태어난 아이가

       All meanly wrapped in the rude manger lies;

 

얄궂은 마굿간에서 소박하게 싸여 누워계신다

nature in awe to him

 

자연은 그에 대한 경의로

has doffed her gaudy trim,

 

그녀의 화려한 장식들을 다 벗어버리고

       With her great master so to sympathize:

 

그녀의 위대한 주인과 그렇게 동정해드렸다

it was no season then for her

 

그 시즌은 그녀가 행할 것이 아니었다

to wanton with the sun her lusty paramour.

 

그녀로 하여금 그녀의 욕정스런 애인 태양과 같이 놀아날 때가 아니었다
