See how from far upon the eastern road

 

먼 동방의 길로부터 오는 이들을 보라

The star-led wizards haste with odours sweet,

 

별의 인도를 받은 박사들이 달콤한 향들을 가지고 서두르나니

O run, prevent them with thy humble ode,

 

서둘러아, 그대의 겸허한 노래로 그들을 막으라

and lay it lowly at his blessed feet;

 

그리고 그의 축복된 발 아래 이렇게 놓음으로

have thou the honour first thy Lord to greet,

 

너의 주님을 먼저 맞이하는 영광을 가지라

        and join thy voice unto the angel choir,

 

그리고 그대의 목소리를 천사들의 합창과 어우러지게 하라

From out his secret altar touched with hallowed fire.

 

그의 비밀스런 제단에서 거룩한 불로 깃들여져 나와서.
