That glorious form, that light insufferable,

 

그 영광스런 형태가, 그 견딜 수 없는 광채가

And that far-beaming blaze of majesty,

 

그 멀리 비추는 위엄의 불길이

Wherewith he wont at heaven's high council-table,

 

천상의 높은 보좌 상에 참여하여

To sit the midst of trinal unity,

 

삼위일체의 석 중에 앉아있을 그가

He laid aside; and here with us to be,

 

그 모든 것을 내려놓으셨다. 우리와 함께 하시기 위하여.

       Forsook the courts of everlasting day,

 

영원한 날들의 궁전을 버리시고

And chose with us a darksome house of mortal clay.

 

우리와 같이 이 어두운 유한한 진흙의 집을 택하셨다.
